The mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and improve the shape of the breast. Over the years, and after circumstances such as pregnancy, breastfeeding and the force of gravity, women breasts tend to fall. Also, as the skin loses its elasticity breasts lose its way and falls, a phenomenon known as breast ptosis. This procedure can also reduce the size of the areola where it is very big.
Mastopexy is an intervention similar to that of breast reduction. It is carried out in cases where the breast, without being excessively large in volume, has suffered a major fall. In these cases the resection of tissue is minimal. Sometimes with the help of a prosthesis it is possible to give volume and properly projection to the breast, once this has been remodeled into the ideal position. |
